Potato Palya/sabzi

Potato palya mainly serves as the stuffing for dosas. This recipe is traditionally made using onions but since I made this on the day of a festival, I omitted the onions while cooking.Peas can also be added to this recipe. Here is the recipe with onions. Happy Gauri Ganesha Habba everyone :)

Comments

  1. You can add ginger(or the paste) to offest the salty taste

  2. or you can add cooked potatoes!!! The high water content of the potato evens off the high salt content of the dish through osmosis...lol Swaths, remember form 2 Bio class...I can't seem to remember our teachers name though!!! BTW if the dish does not have potatoes in it you can just add the potatoe in large enough uncooked pieces that are easy to remove later.
